For Immediate Release – July 23, 2014
This Sunday, July 27th is Round #3 of the Royal Distributing Canadian Cross Country Championship East taking place just outside the Town of Parry Sound.
This historic race location is famous world wide for hosting rounds of the World Enduro Championship in both 2006 and 2007. It is also the location of the Canadian Enduro Championship in 2009 and 2010. This is the only time in the year racers are able to experience these incredible trails that truly are of World Championship caliber.
The Parry Sound course is known its mix of rocky trails, fast sand hills and berms as well as loamy deep forest trails. Each year some new trails are added and this year is no execption – the WEC volunteer crew has been hard at work adding a new techincal section for the afternoon race. A shortened and more tame version of the course is set and passable for all our mini riders as well as Pee Wee racers. The morning race program has a few of the most difficult obstacles removed and the afternoon race program pulls out all the stops and features everything past Word Champions rode.
Located only one hour north of Barrie, its an easy drive up the recently widened Hwy 400. This community has a great vacation atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and recreational activities to entertain the whole family. The Town of Parry Sound has a history of welcoming motorcyclists into their community and the region looks forward to this race every year.
