Ryan Murphy’s “Race for Reason” supports Ronald McDonald
(April 10 2015, St. John’s, NL) – 16 year old Ryan Murphy announced today he will support Ronald McDonald
House through “Race for Reason”. Ryan competes in motocross provincially and across Canada and has been
racing since he was six years old. This is his second annual “Race for Reason” and his reason is to help support
families with a sick child staying at Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador.
Last year, Ryan raised an outstanding $6,218 for Ronald McDonald House. This year, with the help of his
current sponsors- Laura Lang & Todd Winsor with Parts Canada, Leon House with Provincial Paving and new
sponsor Rob & Paul Kinsella with Freshwater Suzuki, he hopes to exceed that amount with a goal of $10,000!
“I wanted to use my racing skills and support Ronald McDonald House. When you’re sick you always need
your parents by your side, so I thought this was a great cause to support.” said Ryan Murphy.
Christine Morgan, Manager of Development and Communications with Ronald McDonald House commended
Ryan Murphy on his ongoing support and said “Due to the generosity of companies, groups, and individuals
like Ryan Murphy, Ronald McDonald House can continue to provide a home-away-from-home for sick or
injured children and their families.”
Ryan will be kicking off “Race for Reason” at Riverview MX in Bay Roberts starting in June. Visit
