Jorge Lorenzo won the Spanish MotoGP at Jerez this past Sunday, May 3rd.
Lorenzo led a promising weekend after a smooth practice on Friday, May 1st, and
continued his success in qualifying with his first pole position of the season, a lap
time of 1m 37.910s.
Lorenzo maintained his reign on race day with an early lead as he pulled ahead
right from the start. Jorge Lorenzo, wearing his HJC RPHA 10 helmet, held onto
1st position throughout the race and finished with a gap of 5.576 seconds ahead
of the 2nd place rider, Marc Marquez.
Yesterday’s victory was Lorenzo’s 1st win of this season, earning his 34th win to
date in his MotoGP career.
