The trip east to Atlantic Motorsports Park in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia is always one lined with anticipation and excitement. This venue comes with unique challenges which in the past years have made for great racing and always draws out the some of the most loyal race fans on the Mopar CSBK tour.
Arriving to new pavement in certain sections of the track made only having one practice session under dry conditions Friday, that much more challenging as many of the traditional racing lines changed. Added to the challenge was mechanic, Dave Weaver being delayed due to flight issues, not arriving until 4am Saturday morning.
After qualifying fifth for Sunday’s main event, Trevor had a great launch slotting into 4th position entering turn one. Trevor ran a constant race bringing the Parts Canada / Suzuki Canada GSX-R1000 powered by Yoshimura Research and Development USA and RockStar Energy Canada home in 4th position scoring valuable championship points.
Entering the final event on the 2015 national schedule for rounds 6 and 7, Trevor is excited as some of his best races and results have come at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. “I feel of all the tracks that I will not be affected by the hand and wrist injury that I sustained in pre-season testing, this is the one. I am also excited because with the high speeds and flowing turns that make up the CTMP track, I will really be able to put the power down and show the strength of my Suzuki GSX-R superbike. This track will allow me to utilize the power gains made from the recent dyno tuning performed by Rob of Brooklin Cycle Racing, after installing some new components from Yoshimura RnD USA.”
Trevor and OneSpeed Racing are grateful of the support from the fans and 2015 Partners - Parts Canada, Suzuki Canada, Yoshimura Research and Development USA, Rockstar Energy Canada, Alpinestars, HJC Helmets, Brooklin Cycle Racing, Bickle Tire Warmers, Great Gulf, Hero Demo, Core Excavation, Dunlop tires, Pro6cycle, Reid’s Roofing, Dave Weaver and Moto-mod suspension by Cornwell.
