Total Domination for Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki at Rounds Five and Six of Canadian National Arenacross Tour
Hayes wins 5 of 6, Blose takes other main event win in Penticton, British Columbia
For Immediate Release
October 26, 2015(Kamloops, British Columbia) After a weekend off, the 2015 Monster Energy Canadian National Arenacross Tour resumed this past weekend at the South Okanogan Events Centre, in Penticton, British Columbia. With the Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team based just two hours away in Kamloops, expectations were high for the “hometown” race and riders Jacob Hayes and Chris Blose delivered in a big way, winning every main event over the course of the two days of racing.
Jacob Hayes kicked his Friday off right by taking the opening heat race win. He went on to dominate the rest of the racing, making it a clean sweep of both the Open Pro and Lites main events before capping the night off with the win in the 20 lap, Clash for Cash main event.
Saturday night started off in much the same fashion for Hayes, as he grabbed the opening heat race win and then took the win in the Open Pro main event. In the Lites main event, he was again leading before being taken out. He regrouped to charge back to fourth place. He bounced back to take another win in the Cash for Clash and now has a shot at taking the $25,000 “Parts Canada Triple Crown” prize for winning three of the final four Cash for Clash main events, with two rounds remaining.
It was another consistent, podium weekend for Chris Blose as the Arizona native took a second in Friday’s Lites main event and a pair of thirds in the Open Pro and Cash for Clash main events, respectively. On Saturday night, he took the Lites main event win when his teammate, Hayes, went down and followed that up with a pair of thirds in the Open Pro and Cash for Clash main events.
With one weekend left to race, in two weeks, at Calgary, Alberta’s Agrium Center, Jacob Hayes sits in the points lead in all three classes while Chris Blose sits second in the Lites class and third in both the Open Pro and Cash for Clash title chases.
