Parts Canada goes West by expanding its amateur support with MCQ MX in British Columbia.
Amateur racing is a valuable resource to our industry and society. It’s a place for family and friends to join together in an environment of healthy competition. It’s a place for youth to learn how to win and how to lose, but most importantly, how to become strong, dedicated and disciplined athletes. Parts Canada is the presenting sponsor of the “TransCan Canadian Motocross Grand National Championship", and has made the decision to reach out even further to help develop amateur programs.
MCQ MX is a regional BC MX series that with “the passion and vision to grow, support, and unite the sport of dirtbike racing regionally, provincially, and nationally” shares our vision, and so we have included the MCQ MX series in our 2016 sponsorship program. In addition to the sponsorship, Parts Canada will continue to grow their Elite Amateur Award, first awarded at Gopher Dunes in 2015 at the AMO Sandstorm event as the “Sandstorm Elite Amateur Award, presented by Parts Canada”. The $250 “big cheque” for parts credit will go to the best amateur rider in the junior or intermediate classes (North & South) and will be known as The MCQ MX Elite Amateur Award, presented by Parts Canada. This award will continue to spread, with its next appearance at the Parts Canada Trans Can at Walton, and will be recognized as the “Walton GNC Elite Amateur Award, presented by Parts Canada”.
Laura Lang, National Marketing Manager of Parts Canada feels she understands the importance of supporting amateur racing and is testing the waters with some of the regional programs. Laura adds, “when we support a series like the MCQ MX, it allows us to (indirectly) support each and every rider in the region, instead of just focusing on one or two select athletes. We want to feed the national program that we align our brands with and we know that MCQ MX, is a place that we can unilaterally work with to grow our sport and our industry.
