Pair of fifths for Mike Alessi at round six
For Immediate Release
July 19, 2016(Kamloops, British Columbia) Round six of the 2016 CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals took place this past weekend at the Motocross Ulverton track, near Drummondville, Quebec. With big hills and sandy soil, the Ulverton track is one of the favourite stops on the Canadian circuit. The Monster Energy Alpinestars Kawasaki team was back in action with riders Mike Alessi and Mark Worth, in MX1 and MX2, respectively.
Mike Alessi had a consistent day. Both motos he started near the front and rode to solid fifth place finishes in both motos, which gave him sixth overall on the day. He currently sits in fourth place in the MX1 title standings with four rounds remaining.
In MX2, Mark Worth started his day off strong, qualifying in third place. In the first moto he rode to a sixth place finish. Unfortunately, a crash in moto two left Worth’s bike stuck in a fence. By the time he was able to extricate it, he was dead last but charged all the way back to 23rd by the end of the race. He currently sits in fifth in the MX2 points standings.
The series now heads to the east coast for round seven at the Pleasant Valley MX track, in Brookfield, Nova Scotia. For more information on the CMRC Canadian Motocross series, visit www.mxnationals.ca
