PARTS CANADA HUSQVARNA RIDER TYLER MEDAGLIA TAKES 5TH OVERALL AT ROUND 8 OF THE ROCKSTAR ENERGY MX NATIONALS
MEDAGLIA IS HONORED WITH THE BRIAN HOUSE MEMORIAL AWARD FOR 2ND YEAR IN A ROW AT RIVERGLADE MX PARK.
Tyler Medaglia continued to delight local fans with his inviting personality in the pits, and his show of true heart and determination on the track. The fastest lap time in practice one, favorable gate picks, and solid starts in each moto set the tone for a great day of racing in Moncton, New Brunswick. In Moto 1 Tyler rode well finishing in a respectable 5th place. Tyler came back with a stronger ride in Moto 2 and spent much of the race gaining on 3rd place fighting for the podium he so fiercely wanted. Sadly, a minor tip-over dashed Tyler’s podium dream and put him back into 6th place. Despite the setback, Tyler’s unshakable drive, mixed with the energy from the local fans cheering him on, pushed him to make an incredible come-back finishing in 4th place. With round 8 in the books, Tyler not only took home the 5th place overall position, but also received the Brian House Memorial trophy for the second year in a row. The Brian House Memorial trophy honors the memory of a local Riverglade MX Park rider, and is presented to the top finishing Atlantic Canadian rider each year.
Tyler Medaglia: “My day started great, I had good practice times and gate picks. I made a fork adjustment for Moto1 and it was the wrong direction. I struggled a little bit that race but rebounded in Moto 2 after I put the forks back to the initial setting. I was feeling confident and gaining on 3rd place and then tipped over. I was moved back to 6th but charged hard to make the pass back on Metcalf after he made a mistake, then I passed Alessi on the last lap to end up 4th. I’m happy with the ride, the whole Husqvarna crew worked their tails off and the cheers from the crowd were a huge help. Winning the Brian House memorial award for the second year in a row means a lot to me as well. They had an awesome presentation.”
The next stop on the Canadian circuit is August 7th in Deschambault, Quebec where Tyler can be expected to continue to contend with the top riders in our Country.
