Alessi, Worth both on the podium in motos at Moncton
For Immediate Release
August 2, 2016(Kamloops, British Columbia) Round eight of the 2016 CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals took place this past weekend on the east coast, at the River Glade MX track, near Moncton, New Brunswick. The always popular stop is one of the highlights of the season, with a great track and a ton of passionate, east coast fans out to cheer the team on.
Mike Alessi started his day off well, logging the second quickest time in qualifying. A solid start in moto one saw him battling up front all race long and a podium finish, with third place at the checkered flag. Another top three start in moto two saw him trying to again run up front again but unfortunately, a rear brake issue dropped him back to fifth, good enough for fourth overall on the day.
In MX2, Mark Worth also showed podium speed. He logged the third quickest time in qualifying before grabbing a second place start in moto one. He would finish fourth in the moto. In moto two, he rode on to the podium with a third place finish. Like his teammate, Alessi, Worth’s 4-3 finishes were good enough to give him fourth overall on the day.
The series returns to Quebec next weekend for round nine, at the MX Deschambault track, near Quebec City. For more information on the CMRC Canadian Motocross series, visit www.mxnationals.ca
