Uxbridge, ONT- Alex Welsh and the AW7R/Kenwood Electronics Suzuki team look to put past troubles behind them and focus on closing out the Mopar Canadian Superbike season in style at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), August 24-26.
Coming off a disappointing weekend at Circuit Mont-Tremblant where he struggled to get to terms with the challenging track, Welsh feels that coming ‘home’ to CTMP is just what he needs to make one final push to climb the 2012 points standings.

Alex Welsh- “We’re coming off two difficult rounds for the team and I so we’re really looking forward to hitting the track and going for some wins this weekend. We’ve been working hard on our equipment over the past week or so to get ready for the demands of such a high-speed track and I think we’ll have a pretty good base set up when we roll our Suzuki’s off the truck. CTMP is a track that everyone in the series enjoys coming to, there is usually lots of activities going on for the fans and the venue always provides some pretty exciting racing. Be sure to come out and stop by the AW7R/Kenwood Electronics tent to grab a poster and possibly even some cool prizes”

Qualifying for the double-header weekend gets underway on Friday. For more information or to purchase tickets call the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Hotline at 1-800-866-1072 (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm ET), visit online at www.canadiantiremotorsportpark.com, or email info@ctmpark.com
