Szoke Prefaces the CSBK Weekend with a Win

Jordan Szoke prefaces the very first Mopar Canadian Superbike National Championship weekend with a win at Kelso Conservation Area in a very different discipline.

“I use mountain bike racing as a way to train for roadracing.” says Szoke “I spend countless hours on my bicycle to remain competitive on my superbike, it just seemed natural to transition my competitive nature from just training on my bicycle to racing it.”

The Weekly Kelso Mountain Bike Race Series is held at the Kelso Conservation Area, with a full calendar hosting 14 races plus a finale event at the end of the season. The series has welcomed many professional O-Cup and Canada Cup racers offering a good training ground with some of the best climbs that Southern Ontario has to offer.

“It was an interesting race, it wasn’t your typical head down, heart thumper. It was more of a mental game. Which, of course, is right up my alley.” smiles Szoke.

Jordan plans to continue to represent Bicycle Works in the Kelso series and schedule allowing, challenge the very best in a few Ontario Cup Series Races. “My supporter, Bicycle Works, is the title sponsor for the series this season, I am really gunning to bring the #1 plate back to the shop this year.”

Shannonville Motorsport 1.5 mile “Pro Track” located just east of Belleville Ontario Canada will be hosting the Canadian National season opener June 7-9. For ticket information visit:
