Jordan Szoke narrowly claimed victory at the Kelso Conservation Area Mountain Bike Race Series Tuesday evening. Szoke has been on a win streak, claiming all four victories since the beginning of the season.

“Tonight we really stepped up the pace, John (Cauchi) and I have been battling it out all season, he almost nipped me on this one.” says Jordan. “We both just came off the Lake2Lake 29er Mountain Bike Event on Sunday, it seems appropriate that we battled it out here at the mountain too.”

The 24 km, three lap loop consisted of lots of tricky single track, tough climbs and very fast downhills.

The weekly Kelso Conservation Area Mountain Bike Race Series is held at the Kelso Conservation Area, with a full calendar hosting 14 races plus a finale event at the end of the season. The series has welcomed many professional O-Cup and Canada Cup racers offering a good training ground with some of the best climbs that Southern Ontario has to offer.

The eight time Canadian Superbike Champion uses bicycling as a way to prepare for his motor-sports events. When asked why he decided to compete in Mountain Bike Racing, Szoke responded; “This particular competition is very convenient for me, we usually ride Tuesday nights out of our supporting shop Bicycle Works. The boys and I come here instead to contend and represent.” Bicycle Works is the major sponsor for the event for 2013.

Jordan currently leads the Kelso Championship and will continue to represent Bicycle Works for the remainder of the season.

Watch for Jordan showing off his Observed Trials skills at the next Bulls and Bikes event June 22nd in Sudbury On Canada. For ticket information visit:
