Series Brantford ON Canada - June 25th 2013

“After I was finished, I had to sit down.” exclaims an exhausted Szoke. “Sit down, or puke one or the other.” The eight time Canadian Superbike Champion has been testing his pedal power this season at the local Kelso Mountain Bike Race Series.

The weekly Kelso Conservation Area Mountain Bike Race Series is held at the Kelso Conservation Area, with a full calendar hosting 14 races plus a finale event at the end of the season.

When asked about what his expectations are going into his first competitive professional season Szoke responds, “I really want to win this championship. We have quite a few more races to go to lock it down, and after the battle we (John Cauchi) and I had tonight, the guy definitely isn’t going down without a fight.” Szoke has won all five races in the expert class thus far, with eight remaining. The Kelso Mountain Bike series season ends on Aug 20th.

“I have this internal fight going on in my head. My brain says go, and my body says no. So I just keep going. I’m not too sure if I’m actually good at racing my bicycle, or just too stupid to quit.”

Jordan will continue to represent Bicycle Works for the remainder of the season, ironically the title sponsor for the series.

Watch for Jordan showing off his Observed Trials skills at the next Bulls and Bikes event June 30th in Brampton Ontario, Canada.
